What would have been another plane tragedy was miraculously averted this afternoon as an alleged Boko bomber with explosives attempted to bomb an Arik plane that landed in Abuja from Maiduguri about a few hours ago, according to news reaching us here at Oversabi republic. The saving grace is that the explosive allegedly refused to detonate in the air.
According to our source, the Boko Haram member stood up inside the plane while still in the air and told all passengers to pray for their lives. He said the main targets were the expatriates on the plane, although he didnt give reasons for targeting them. Unfortunately for him, and fortunately for the passengers in particular and Nigerians in general, the explosive didnt explode before the plane landed in Abuja. Nobody could explain why the explosive didnt explode.
The Police bomb expert arrested the suicide bomber inside the aircraft in Abuja.

The aviation minister Stella Oduah few minutes later, via twitter this afternoon tweeted that the story is absolutely false.

The Auditor-General of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Administration, on his way back to Abuja from Benin yesterday around 12pm, was kidnapped alongside his wife and children by some unknown gunmen.

The kidnappers were alleged to have contacted the family asking for N20million ransom and also warning the family not to talk about it.

Although details of the incident were skethy as at press time, the FCT police command said they were not aware of the incident. FCT police spokesperson, Doris England, as at the time she was contacted said the command was not aware of the development, saying that “if it happened, nobody has reported it yet.”
